The King Sejong Korean Language Center operating at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University celebrated its first anniversary with great festivity. The event was held in conjunction with Hangul Day, the day of the Korean alphabet, and featured a vibrant and culturally diverse program.

The program featured performances by students of the center and students of the Korean Language Philology Department of the university. Throughout the event, hip-hop dances, Korean songs, engaging contests, and masterclasses such as “K-beauty” and “K-food” were organized. Participants also had the opportunity to wear hanbok for photoshoots, prepare traditional Korean dishes, and explore Korean culture up close.

According to the center’s manager, Mr. Kim, the Jizzakh branch began its activities in 2024 with 33 students, and now 85 learners are mastering the Korean language. Classes are conducted throughout the week, and every Friday is celebrated as Culture Day.
The King Sejong Center not only teaches the Korean language to young people but also provides opportunities to study in Korea through the Sejong Certificate. Currently, the center is conducting classes for the third semester.
