Dialogue between the Rector and Students: ‘Every minute is a new opportunity,’ says Maksudjon Yuldashev.

At Jizzakh State Pedagogical University, the meeting titled “The Rector and Students,” dedicated to supporting youth, enhancing their scientific and educational potential, developing their creative and intellectual abilities, and discussing new ideas, turned into a sincere and engaging dialogue.

The open dialogue was attended by the university administration, students of the English Philology Department, pupils of the academic lyceum under the university, and professors and teachers. The meeting was opened by the rector of the university, Professor Maqsudjon Yuldashev. In his speech, he especially acknowledged the achievements of the pupils of the academic lyceum under Jizzakh State Pedagogical University, emphasizing that the young people’s successes in various national and international competitions and subject Olympiads are a clear reflection of their intellectual potential and aspirations.

 

 

In particular, it was noted that lyceum student Rayhona Oblokulova won an honorable third place in the national stage of the Republican Olympiad in the Uzbek language, and that another lyceum student, Abdulaziz Risqulov, represented the institution with distinction at the TEENEAGLE International English Language Olympiad held in London, United Kingdom, from September 21 to 27 of this year, earning a silver medal.

The meeting continued with an award ceremony, during which the winner of the international Olympiad, Abdulaziz Risqulov, was honored with a certificate of appreciation and a voucher worth 5 million soums. Inspired by the event, Abdulaziz shared his impressions of participating in the TEENEAGLE Olympiad in English, which left a strong impression on the audience.

At the event, Rukhshona Nu’monova, a third-year student majoring in English Language and Literature at the Faculty of Philology, also took the floor and shared her experiences from participating in an international academic Olympiad held in Turkey.

The rector suggested continuing the conversation in English.

The second part of the meeting was held in the format of an “Open Dialogue between the Rector and Students.” During this session, students directly addressed their questions, suggestions, and opinions to the university administration. Interestingly, the students presented their questions and proposals in English.

Throughout the discussion, they exchanged views on important topics such as improving the quality of education, increasing opportunities to participate in international competitions, enhancing students’ social engagement, establishing media clubs, encouraging startup projects, organizing classes with foreign specialists, and enriching the university library with English-language books.

The meeting provided each participant with an opportunity to freely express their opinions, present their suggestions, and find solutions to the issues that concern them.
