A delegation led by Shakhrillo Mahmudov, Deputy Minister of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, visited the university to review the current state of sports development.
It is noteworthy that during the 2025/2026 academic year to date, students have won a total of 57 medals: 18 at international competitions (4 gold, 6 silver, and 8 bronze) and 39 at national-level events (9 gold, 10 silver, and 20 bronze). In the Five Initiatives Olympiad, the women’s streetball team won a gold medal, while the men’s volleyball team secured a bronze medal.





At the regional stage of the Students League, the university earned qualification for the final stage in 10 out of 12 sports (excluding tennis and chess).In April of the current year, 1,059 students participated in 7 sports disciplines at the university stage of the New Uzbekistan Student Olympiad. During the Inclusive Youth Sports Festival held at the university, 172 students with disabilities took part, and 42 participants were awarded incentives.








At present, out of 742 students studying in sports-related programs at the university, 44 are members of Uzbekistan’s national teams across 19 sports disciplines. A five-day academic schedule has been introduced at the university, and Saturday has been designated as a day for social activity, sports, and wellness for both faculty and students.
