A meeting was held at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University with the participation of staff of the “Compliance Control” Anti-Corruption System Management Department and professors and teachers of the Interfaculty Department of Foreign Languages.
The meeting discussed issues of preventing corruption, increasing the legal knowledge and culture of employees, and early identification of corruption risks. The head of the department, A. Umirzokov, provided explanations on the essence of the Law “On Combating Corruption,” the obligation to report corruption-related offenses, and the guarantees for protecting whistleblowers and their close relatives.
Furthermore, special attention was paid to the anti-corruption policy approved by Order No. 404 of the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation dated October 14, 2025, restrictions on accepting gifts and signs of hospitality related to official activities, transparency in personnel processes, and the prevention of conflicts of interest.
During the meeting, explanations were also provided regarding the Law “On the Status of the Teacher”, the university’s Internal Labor Regulations and Code of Ethics, and the rights and obligations of members of the admissions committee. The negative consequences of legal nihilism, indifference to the law and state institutions, and the importance of legal culture in preventing offenses were emphasized.
At the conclusion of the event, it was noted that strengthening the rule of law, honesty, transparency, and an intolerant attitude towards corruption in the university community is one of the important tasks.
