At Jizzakh State Pedagogical University, “Independence Lessons” were organized for students living in rental accommodations and in Student Dormitory No. 4, dedicated to the lives, activities, and scientific-educational heritage of the victims of repression and representatives of the Jadid movement.
The main goal of the sessions was to increase young people’s interest in national history, strengthen their sense of loyalty to the Motherland, national pride, and historical memory, and widely promote the selfless efforts of our ancestors in the struggle for freedom and independence.

During the lessons, information was provided about the activities of Jadid representatives in enlightening the people, elevating national consciousness and thought, and developing education and knowledge, as well as the life paths, courage, and dedication of our compatriots who suffered persecution and pressure during the years of repression. Historical documents, photo and video materials, and presentations were used during the sessions, and question-and-answer sessions and open dialogues were conducted with students.

As a logical continuation of the “Independence Lessons,” a spiritual-educational excursion to the Museum of Victims of Repression was organized for the students. The students became acquainted with the historical exhibits, documents, and photographs preserved in the museum, and gained additional information about the history of the repression period, the fate of our compatriots, and the struggles for national liberation.
