International guests have arrived in the city of Jizzakh within the framework of the international conference on the topic “Developing English Language Teaching in Higher Education,” initiated by Jizzakh State Pedagogical University.
The international conference on the topic “Developing English Language Teaching in Higher Education,” initiated by Jizzakh State Pedagogical University, has commenced its work. The forum is being organized in collaboration with the University of Georgia and GATESOL Conferences.


International experts, including University of Georgia professors Dr. David Chiesa, Dr. Alisa Leckie, Dr. Rebecca Raab, Amy Morales, and Susan Mann, are participating in the conference, sharing their insights and recommendations on modern trends and best practices in English language education.




The international forum was opened by Akmal Savurbayev, Deputy Governor of Jizzakh Region for Youth Policy, Social Development, and Spiritual and Educational Affairs. He emphasized that this event is of great importance in improving the quality of education in the region, expanding international academic cooperation, and strengthening the potential of teaching staff.



Following this, Xusanboy G’aniyev, Head of Department at the Ministry of Preschool and School Education, delivered an opening address, wishing success to the conference’s work and noting that developing English language education is one of the priority directions in the country’s educational policy. At the opening ceremony of the event, the Rector of the University, Maksudjon Abdullayevich Yuldashev, also spoke. In his remarks, he expressed gratitude to all institutions and partners who contributed to organizing this prestigious event. He especially thanked the University of Georgia for its academic cooperation and institutional support, emphasizing that this partnership is a crucial factor in improving English language education and the teacher training system. The conference proceedings are being conducted in Uzbek and English.
