The 3rd regional stage of the “Student Theater Studios” festival was held in Jizzakh.

The 3rd regional stage of the “Student Theater Studios” festival commenced ceremoniously on December 17 of this year at the Jizzakh Musical Drama Theater.

The event was organized with the aim of increasing student youth’s interest in theater art, elevating their spiritual maturity, and enhancing the effectiveness of cultural and educational work in higher education institutions.

The festival featured participation from student theater studios of Gulistan State University, the Jizzakh branch of the National University of Uzbekistan, Jizzakh State Pedagogical University, and the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute. The troupes presented theatrical performances based on the works “My Lovely Sisters” by Abdulla Qahhor, “Horizon” by Said Ahmad, and “They Are Not People” by Usmon Azim.

According to the jury’s decision, the play “They Are Not People,” staged by students of Jizzakh State Pedagogical University, received high marks and earned a ticket to the Republican stage. Second place went to the Jizzakh branch of the National University of Uzbekistan, while third place was awarded to Gulistan State University and the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute.

Additionally, the best performers and creative directors were recognized in special nominations. Notably, Farhod Qo’shnazarov, Deputy Dean for Youth Affairs at the Faculty of Natural Sciences, became the recipient of the “Best Student Theater Studio Director” nomination.

This festival played a significant role in revealing the creative potential of student youth and enriching their spiritual world.
