A series of contests and sports competitions for students with disabilities have commenced at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University within the framework of the “Inclusive Youth Festival.” This festival serves to support inclusive education, showcase the talents of students, and increase their social activity.

In accordance with the festival program, a creative contest titled “Creativity and Inspiration” has been organized among blind and visually impaired students, where participants are demonstrating their skills in singing, musical performance, and poetry reading. The contest is being held at the university’s Culture Palace.

Additionally, para-sports competitions under the motto “Sport and Healthy Life” have been organized for students with musculoskeletal system disorders. The competitions include chess and checkers, table tennis, and athletics.

The university rector also visited the sports competitions, speaking with deaf-mute and blind students and inquiring about their proposals and initiatives. During the conversation, it was noted that the establishment of an inclusive students’ society is being planned, with the university rector to be appointed as its chairman. The students expressed their gratitude to the university leadership for the conditions being created for them and for the competitions being organized. For the record, the contests and competitions within the framework of the Inclusive Youth Festival will conclude on March 16.
