I sincerely congratulate you on March 8 – International Women’s Day.
Today in our country, extensive work is being carried out to ensure the rights and interests of women and to further strengthen their role in societal life.
On the initiative of our **esteemed President Sh.M. Mirziyoyev**, broad opportunities are being created to support women, enabling them to pursue education, engage in scientific activities, and actively participate in leadership positions.
In particular, the state coverage of tuition contract fees for girls studying at the master’s level, and the benefits provided for admission to higher education, are a vivid expression of practical care in this regard.
Today, our university team includes **nearly 590 women. Among them, 286 are professors and teachers, and we have 10 women scholars with Doctor of Science degrees and 114 with PhD degrees. In a short period, the scientific potential of our university has grown from 33 percent to 50 percent.** It is worth emphasizing that the contribution of our female professors and teachers to this significant achievement is immense.
On the eve of the holiday, I would like to gladly note another joyful news. Our university student, **Visola Tursunova, has been awarded the prestigious Zulfiya State Prize for her creative achievements in the field of literature.** This achievement will serve as a great source of inspiration and encouragement for all our female students.
This year, **13 students from our university became winners of state nominal scholarships.** What is pleasing is that 11 of them are our female students.
Our girls are also active and strive for victory on the sports fields. The “Ziyokor” basketball and volleyball teams, and our streetball girls, winners of the “Five Initiatives Olympiad,” are worthily defending the honor of our university.
