An important spiritual and educational seminar was held in the Geography laboratory room of Jizzakh State Pedagogical University as part of the celebration of International Syr Darya Day.
The event was organized by the Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan with the support of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).

The seminar was attended by members of the Republican Ecological Movement, specialists from regional water management and environmental protection organizations, as well as professors, teachers, and master’s students from the Geography and Biology departments of JDPU.



During the event, presentations were heard on current issues such as the rational use of water resources, ecological problems and their solutions in the Syr Darya basin, the impact of climate change in the region, and the conservation of biological diversity.



Specialists also put forward proposals on ensuring the ecological stability of the region, enhancing environmental culture among youth, and developing scientific research.



During the Q&A session, participants received detailed answers to their questions on the topic. At the end of the event, the significance of International Syr Darya Day and the role of science and practical cooperation in ensuring the region’s ecological balance were particularly emphasized.
