Brief Course Description:

The “General Chemistry” course is designed for students of the Bachelor’s degree program in Chemistry and includes an introduction to chemistry, the history of the development of general chemistry and chemical science in Uzbekistan, basic concepts and laws of chemistry, main classes of inorganic compounds, Mendeleev’s periodic law and the periodic table of chemical elements, atomic structure and modern theories of chemical bonding, chemical kinetics and equilibrium, energetics of chemical processes, solutions and their properties, electrolyte solutions and redox reactions, and the fundamental theories of organic and coordination chemistry, presented in a specific sequence. Thorough mastery of the course, alongside theoretical knowledge, fosters skills that will be useful during pedagogical practice and in future professional activities.
