At the “Culture Day” festival, organized by the Department of Theory and Practice of the English Language of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, students of the 2nd stage of the Faculty of Foreign Languages tried to show the culture of India, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Spain, Italy, Georgia, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Great Britain, Korea and the USA. During the event, students presented blind and staged programs depicting the culture of different countries, in particular, their food, dance and music, national holidays and traditions, historical figures, statesmen, the world of cinema, sports and national costumes.

University students, teachers, parents, teachers of Jizzakh city schools and lyceums, and guests from other organizations were invited to the event. The role of intercultural communication in English language learning and education is immeasurable. Culture is the essence of who we are.

It includes our beliefs, customs, languages, arts and customs, and shapes our identities and communities. The organized “Day of Cultures” festival focused on these aspects.
