Uzbekistan has made significant progress in gender equality
Uzbekistan ranked 52nd in the 2024 Gender Equality and Governance Index (GEGI) (https://globalgovernanceforum.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Gender-Equality-and-Governance-Index-20242025-A-Critical-Time-for-Women-to-Lead.pdf) with a score of 72.8 (https://globalgovernanceforum.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/Gender-Equality-and-Governance-Index-20242025-A-Critical-Time-for-Women-to-Lead.pdf).
Compared to the results of 2022, our country has risen 51 places in these indicators, demonstrating our achievements in the field of gender equality. This index covers 158 countries and allows us to identify successes and shortcomings in achieving gender equality. Important reforms underpinning Uzbekistan’s achievements:
🔹Actively involve women in IT and STEM fields;
🔹Launching digital skills training programs for girls;
🔹Measures taken to protect women’s rights and ensure gender equality.

The positive results achieved in the areas of governance, education, IT, labor, entrepreneurship, and violence prevention further strengthen Uzbekistan’s global prestige. These achievements are a bright result of our policy in the interests of our dear sisters. We will continue our work to ensure their prosperous lives.
