From July 7 to 9, 2025, a delegation from India’s National Heart Institute, led by Dr. Anand Kumar Tripathi, Director of the International Relations Department, paid an official visit to Jizzakh State Pedagogical University (JDPU). The delegation also included Zafar Khan and Jerry Mendes, Director of the Indian consulting firm Janessa Educare.
This visit was organized with the aim of further strengthening cooperation between JSPU and one of India’s leading medical institutes, fostering mutual exchange of experience in education and practice, and enhancing JSPU’s international reputation.
For the first time, an International Advisor to the Rector has been appointed at JSPU.
The main part of the visit took place on July 9, during which a Memorandum of Understanding and a Cooperation Agreement were signed between JSPU Rector Shavkat Sharipov and Dr. Anand Kumar Tripathi. On this occasion, Dr. Anand Kumar Tripathi was appointed as the Rector’s Public Advisor for the International Promotion of JSPU.
This position has been introduced for the first time in the university’s history. Within its framework, the goals include expanding JSPU’s international cooperation potential, attracting foreign investments and grants, promoting the export of educational services, and positioning JSPU as a competitive brand in the international education market.

Exploring JSPU’s Potential — Lasting Impressions
As part of the visit, the guests became closely acquainted with the infrastructure created for students at JSPU. They observed the ongoing educational processes in the medical faculty, visited modern classrooms and lecture halls, the Registrar’s Office which works with students and applicants, and student dormitories equipped with all necessary facilities. The guests were particularly impressed by the university’s 24/7 operating library—both electronic and traditional—with a rich collection of literature across various fields.
Hospital Visits — Opportunities for Practical Collaboration
To further develop cooperation in the field of medicine, the delegation also visited several medical institutions in the city of Jizzakh. Through these visits, they became acquainted with the practical training opportunities available to JSPU students and explored the mechanisms of collaboration between the university and local hospitals.
Attracting International Students — One of the Key Strategic Goals
During the meetings, the issue of attracting Indian students to study medicine at JSPU was also discussed. Dr. Anand Kumar Tripathi stated that he would carry out extensive promotional activities in this direction and actively promote JSPU in India and other foreign countries.
