From February 6 to 11, 2026, the Uzbekistan Championship among U18 youth and girls’ teams took place on the basketball courts of the Olympic Village in Tashkent. The competition was organized at a high level and was marked by intense and uncompromising contests.

According to the final results, the Jizzakh regional team won the gold medal and celebrated the championship.

Sevinch Ma’mirova, a first-year student of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports at JSPU and a member of the “JDPU Ziyokor” team, who played as captain on the court, deserves special recognition for her performance. She made a significant contribution to the team’s victory in the decisive matches and demonstrated strong leadership qualities.

Encouragingly, Sevinch Ma’mirova has now been invited to the training camps of the national team in preparation for the CAVA Champions League competition among CIS countries.
