Uzbekistan plans to take efforts to combat youth unemployment to a new level, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev said at a meeting on February 14. According to him, 378,000 microprojects will be implemented in makhallas, and makhalla bankers will provide income to 250,000 people through new credit products.
Young people will be taught professions and foreign languages to find high-paying jobs. At the meeting, the president said that Aloqabank will be transformed into a “youth bank” to support young people’s business projects at the expense of $200 million. The bank will provide preferential loans of up to 5 billion soums for a period of 7 years to individual young entrepreneurs. The National Bank will receive $100 million in resources to ensure the employment of university graduates.









At today’s open dialogue with the participation of graduating students, they provided information about the content of the resolution of the Head of State “On additional measures to assist graduates of higher education institutions in finding employment”, the reforms being implemented in the field of youth policy, the “Step to the Future” program by Uzmilliybank JSC, and the full support provided by Uzmilliybank JSC for graduating students who want to implement their business ideas in the process of bringing a business idea to a ready-made project, including financing on favorable terms. Representatives of the bank listened to the proposals of young people and expressed their readiness to support their initiatives.
