Maslenitsa: Spring Festival in Jizzakh.

The Maslenitsa holiday was held by the Russian cultural center in the friendship house of Jizzakh region. To celebrate this year’s holiday, professors and teachers of the Faculty of Russian Language and Literature of Jizzakh State Pedagogical University, students, teachers and students of general education schools and representatives of regional departments of Russian cultural centers gathered.

The event was opened by the chairman of the regional cultural center Alexander Skripkin. He emphasized the importance of preserving and popularizing cultural heritage, in particular Maslenitsa.

Various competitions and interesting games were organized at the event. Students of the Faculty of Russian Language and Literature of Jizzakh State Pedagogical University performed Russian folk songs, chastushkas and dances, giving the holiday a special atmosphere of joy and happiness.
