A teacher from Jizzakh is gaining international experience in the United States in teaching languages through artificial intelligence.
The exchange program titled “Innovations and Best Practices for Language Learning Enhanced by Artificial Intelligence,” taking place in the USA from June 22 to July 5, 2025, is serving as an important platform for international English teachers. The program is being implemented in collaboration with the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, the Office of English Language Programs, and the FHI 360 organization.

This program allows representatives from K-12 and higher education institutions to exchange ideas on advanced approaches and current topics related to English language teaching. Representing Uzbekistan in this program is Dildora Bahriddinova, Associate Professor of the Department of English Language Theory and Practice at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Jizzakh State Pedagogical University.

The program is organized in two stages:

🔹 First stage — took place in San Diego, where participants gained practical knowledge and skills in the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies into education, particularly natural language processing (NLP), the use of language models, and adaptive learning systems.

🔹 Second stage — is currently continuing as part of the ISTE 2025 conference in San Antonio, Texas. In this stage, participants are engaged in discussions regarding the practical application of AI tools in classroom and online learning environments, their capabilities, and potential limitations.

Throughout the program, identifying free, affordable, and low-resource AI tools is also a focus. Additionally, participants are becoming closely acquainted with American life and culture through interaction with an American host family, participation in cultural events, meetings with the local community, and city tours.

The exchange program is creating ample opportunity for collaboration with specialists from several countries, including China, Turkey, Peru, Brazil, Mexico, and Russia, as well as for studying diverse experiences and fostering cultural dialogue.
