An event dedicated to the International Day of Women and Girls in Science was held at JSPU under the slogan “A Scientific Woman is a Mirror of Society.”

In accordance with the relevant statement of the Cabinet of Ministers dated February 3, 2025, a week was organized on the theme “Scientific Women – a Mirror of Society” from February 10-15.

It is planned to hold scientific and practical conferences in educational institutions and neighborhoods with the participation of women scientists and researchers conducting scientific research, students and female students, as well as various events aimed at increasing women’s interest in science. In particular, yesterday, an event dedicated to the International Day of “Women and Girls in Science” was held at the Jizzakh State Pedagogical University under the slogan “A Scientific Woman is a Mirror of Society”.

Speaking, Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovations Gayrat Kadirov and others recognized that as a guarantee of gender equality in our country, women and girls of any age have equal and full access to the achievements of science, technology, and innovation.

“If a woman is educated, the family will be educated, and if the family is educated, the society will be educated. Today, it is gratifying that the ranks of our female scientists at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University are expanding, and that girls are more eager to learn than anyone else. After all, with this knowledge they will educate the future generation,” says Professor Bakhti Ochilova.

The conference also emphasized the need to create more opportunities for female scientists and researchers, students, and female students conducting scientific research, and to hold various events aimed at increasing women’s interest in science.

At the end of the event, a concert program by the university’s artistic team and poems by young artists were performed.

At the end of the scientific conference, which was full of lively discussions and questions and answers, a number of our female scientists were awarded diplomas and souvenirs by the university administration and the trade union committee.
