A briefing was held at the JSPU.
The briefing was devoted to the work carried out at JSPU in the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 academic years on the construction and commissioning of student residences (as well as other newly built and under construction buildings).

Currently, a total of 18,482 students are studying at the university. In particular, 33 bachelor’s and 20 master’s degree programs are being prepared. Of these, 9,230 are full-time bachelor’s students, 247 are master’s students, 38 are part-time students, 8,873 are part-time students, and 94 are evening students.

Jizzakh State Pedagogical University had 2 dormitories, No. 1 and No. 2. In order to increase the level of student accommodation, the capacity of dormitory building No. 1 was increased from 400 to 512 places by installing bunk beds in the existing 2 student dormitories, and the capacity of dormitory building No. 2, which had 80 places, was increased to 104 places. The total number of places was 616.

In accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 563 dated September 9, 2021, in order to increase the level of student accommodation and create additional conditions for the construction of modern student housing with all amenities, a 7-story building with a total project cost of 37.8 billion was constructed and commissioned on the basis of an Agreement between the university and the “IKRA BOND” Limited Liability Company on a public-private partnership basis. For this, the regional administration allocated 1.8 hectares of land from the Zargarlik MFY. This Talalalabar housing was mainly used by students living in rented accommodation in the red zone.

In addition, the construction of a new modern 600-bed 7-storey student dormitory building with a total cost of 34.3 billion tenge is being completed at the expense of the extra-budgetary funds of the current University in the Sangzor MFY area of ​​​​Jizzakh city. For this, the regional administration allocated 3.0 hectares of land from the Sangzor MFY area.

In addition, in order to create conditions for correspondence students in the Boston district of Zarbdor district, a complete renovation of an unused building was carried out, and a 200-bed dormitory with all modern amenities and furniture and equipment was put into operation.

Initially, the university needed to build new student dormitories for 2,000 places. Starting from the 2023-2024 academic year and 2024-2025 academic year, due to the decrease in admission quotas, the decrease in the number of students, and the construction of a 600-place dormitory building on the basis of the State Budget, the need for student dormitories was met by constructing a new 600-place dormitory building on the territory of the Sangzor MFY of the city of Jizzakh, constructing a 200-place dormitory, repairing the existing dormitory buildings, and installing 2-tier beds.

In 2024, in order to create better conditions for students, professors, and teaching staff at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University, a new 2-story, 200-seat educational building with a total cost of 6.6 billion soums was built and put into operation with full equipment on the territory of the Faculty of Physics and Technological Education building located in the Jizzakhlik neighborhood of Jizzakh city, at the expense of the university’s extrabudgetary funds. A kitchen for 100 seats was also built and put into operation in this building.

A 240-seat lecture hall and a practical exhibition (museum) building with a total cost of 2.7 billion soums were built and put into operation on the territory of the Faculty of History located in Sh. Rashidov district. An 80-seat kitchen has also begun operating on this territory.

Reconstruction works worth 3 billion soums have been carried out at the indoor swimming pool facility located in Zargarlik Mahalla, Jizzakh city. Currently, all conditions have been created for training at the swimming pool facility.

Also, reconstruction work was carried out in the Information Resource Center (IRC) building by constructing an additional floor with a total cost of 7.2 billion soums. The IRC building serves readers 24/7. Currently, the library can accommodate 500 students at a time. The library has a total collection of 191,600 books, and on the 3rd floor alone there are more than 30,000 books, of which more than 9,000 are fiction and about 21,000 are textbooks and study guides.

A new 100-seat canteen building was built and put into operation on the territory of the university’s main building at the expense of extrabudgetary funds for 1.1 billion soums.

In addition, the construction of a 2,500-seat educational building with a contract value of 83.7 billion soums is underway at the expense of extrabudgetary funds of the university in the Sangzor MFY of the city of Jizzakh. This construction is planned to be completed by April of this year. After the completion of this educational building, it is planned to move the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Faculty of Russian Language and Literature, Faculty of Uzbek Language, and Faculty of Primary Education of the university.

Solar panels with a total capacity of 720 kW were installed on the roofs of the university buildings. The total annual electricity consumption is 1543586 kW, of which 1107726 kW of electricity was purchased from the Electric Networks Enterprise, 778615 kW of electricity was generated from solar panels, 342754 kW of electricity was sold to the Electric Networks Enterprise, 435861 kW of electricity was used for consumption from the production of solar panels, the share of solar panels in total consumption was 50.4 percent.

In accordance with the instructions given in the implementation of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-468 dated December 31, 2024 “On additional measures to accelerate the socio-economic development of the Jizzakh region”, a program has been developed and submitted to the ministry for the construction of a school for 420 places and a preschool educational institution for 100 places in 2025 at the expense of the university’s extra-budgetary funds, in cooperation with the Jizzakh regional administration. The Ministry of Finance has submitted documents for registration to obtain an ID number for the organization of a 420-seat general secondary school by reconstructing building No. 1.3, located on Sh. Rashidov Avenue, Jizzakh city, and a 100-seat preschool educational institution by reconstructing building No. 5.2, located on the territory of the Shodlik Educational Institution of the Zarbdor district, affiliated with the Jizzakh State Pedagogical University. After obtaining an ID number for the objects, announcements will be made on the electronic public procurement platform in the construction sector (https://tender.mc.uz/). Also, according to this resolution, it is planned to demolish the existing toilet building on the territory of the university’s main building on Sh. Rashidov Avenue, Jizzakh city, and build a parking lot, a 30-seat toilet building, and an indoor tennis court in its place. The project estimate documentation for the demolition of the existing toilet building on the territory of the main building of the Jizzakh State Pedagogical University located on Sh. Rashidov Street in Jizzakh and the construction of a parking lot, a 30-point toilet building and an indoor tennis court on it was prepared by “ME’MORPROJECT” LLC. The Andijan Regional Department of the State Unitary Enterprise “Expertise on Urban Planning Documents” received a summary expert opinion No. 224344 dated 04-12-2024. The total cost of the project is 2.2 billion. The construction work on this facility will be carried out at the expense of the university’s extrabudgetary funds. Today, announcements have been placed on the electronic public procurement platform in the construction sector (https://tender.mc.uz/) to determine the contracting organization.
