Department Responsibilities:

• Engaging professors, doctoral students, students, and relevant organization specialists in the implementation of research and development projects funded by budgetary and non-budgetary sources, as well as services provided by the client university, in accordance with established procedures;
• Ensuring legal protection of the university’s intellectual property objects, as well as registering and patenting new project objects by submitting and processing relevant documents;
• Preparing conclusions based on contract requirements with the authors of intellectual property objects and overseeing their implementation;
• Forming, maintaining, and managing a database of the university’s research activities (R&D) results, verifying and analyzing the outcomes of intellectual activities;
• Reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating the innovative, scientific-methodological, and technological potential of innovative projects and R&D results;
• Promoting the development of competitive scientific and technical products and supporting the university’s researchers, as well as providing economic entities with the results of intellectual activities for practical use;
• Preparing business plans for innovative projects, assessing competitive risks and advantages, ensuring legal protection of R&D results, and seeking potential investors;
• Preparing and monitoring the terms of international scientific and technical cooperation agreements, mutual activities, experience exchange, and implementation of research projects related to intellectual property issues between the university and other entities;
• Identifying cases of improper use of the university’s intellectual property objects, reporting violations of established procedures to the management, and proposing measures to address damages;
• Preparing documents related to the use and protection of the university’s intellectual property objects.
