Jizzakh State Pedagogical University has established activities with many prestigious universities of foreign countries to strengthen foreign cooperation. To date, the university has managed to establish strong ties with many foreign universities.
Professors Dr. Peter Watkins and Dr. Gulsah Kutuk from the University of Portsmouth, UK, visited the university on March 3-4 as part of the British Council’s AELLCA project. They discussed the goals of the visit during a meeting with the university’s rector, Sh.S. Sharipov, in the university’s small conference room. 





The purpose of the visit is to establish mutual cooperation, including the exchange of professors and teachers, students, organizing practical classes for students at the University of Portsmouth, student exchanges, organizing lectures for JSPU students, and mutual participation in online and offline conferences. The parties discussed future plans and proposals for mutual cooperation. During the dialogue, a number of proposals were put forward regarding the exchange of students and professors between the universities of the two countries, organizing lectures and classes by experienced professors and teachers from the University of Portsmouth, joint educational programs, and joint research by young scientists conducting scientific research. At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to take cooperation between higher education institutions of the two countries to a new level, while studying proposals and feedback and establishing separate cooperation in each direction. At the end of the meeting, the rector of the university presented souvenirs to the professors of the University of Portsmouth. After the meeting, the professors gave lectures to the faculty and students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages.
