Dear compatriots, esteemed teachers, and students!

I sincerely congratulate all of you on the holiday of the State Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which is sacred and dear to all of us!

Our people are joyfully celebrating a great and glorious date in the history of New Uzbekistan – the thirty-fourth anniversary of our Motherland’s independence.

This year, the thirty-fourth anniversary of our Motherland’s Independence is being celebrated in our country under the slogan “For the Homeland, for the Nation, for the People!” Independence has taken a firm place in the heart of every compatriot as the greatest blessing and the dearest value. This year’s holiday is also significant because it coincides with a period of new reforms, renewal, and progress in our country. It should be noted that young people, as well as representatives of science and education, begin the new academic year in harmony with the Independence celebrations. Thanks to the festive spirit created by this occasion, the educational process will start in an uplifting atmosphere. Today, all educational institutions have been provided with the necessary conditions to welcome knowledge-seekers and to acquaint them with the light of modern science.

Esteemed friends!

Today we are celebrating the 34th anniversary of our country’s independence with great joy and pride. During the years of independence, tremendous reforms have been carried out in the development of our nation, especially in the field of education. The most favorable conditions have been created for our youth, and modern reforms have been introduced into the education system. The cooperation between pedagogical universities and schools is becoming increasingly strong. Textbooks and teaching methods have been fundamentally improved, and new schools are being built. Most importantly, the hard work of teachers and mentors is being duly recognized and rewarded.

In accordance with Presidential Decree No. 73, “On Measures to Further Improve the System of Training Pedagogical Personnel”, 13 higher education institutions specializing in pedagogy have been transferred under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education. The main goal of this reform is to ensure coherence between schools and universities, establish stronger integration within the education system, and raise the quality of teacher training to a new level. From now on, specialists trained at universities will be directly connected and aligned with schools, contributing significantly to the upbringing of the younger generation — a development that brings us all great satisfaction.

Dear students!

On the eve of the 2025–2026 academic year, the commissioning of a modern 600-bed student dormitory in the Bog‘ishamol area and the completion of a new academic building with a capacity of 2,500 students became a worthy gift for both students and teachers.

The reforms being implemented in the higher education system at the initiative of our President, as well as the measures aimed at improving the quality of education, first and foremost serve the interests of young people, which fills us all with pride and honor.

This year, 4,476 students successfully graduated from our university. This, in turn, means that 4,476 qualified specialists will need to be provided with employment opportunities in the labor market. It should be emphasized that in order to ensure the employment of our graduates, job fairs and various cooperation events are regularly organized. Through these efforts, our youth are able to secure positions that suit their skills and interests.

In particular, the recent “TalabaExpo – 2025” career exhibition held on our university campus created a wide platform for graduating students to present their ideas and initiatives. The event was organized within the framework of the “Step into the Future” program with the aim of promoting the employment of graduates and developing their entrepreneurial activities. It is especially gratifying that more than 1,000 graduating students from higher education institutions in the Jizzakh region took part in this exhibition.

Respected colleagues, esteemed students!

Today, one of our most important priorities is to nurture young people to be knowledgeable, enlightened, patriotic, and independent-minded; to unlock their intellectual and creative potential; and to further strengthen cooperation between schools and higher education institutions.

It is natural that certain difficulties and challenges may arise in the course of implementing such large-scale reforms. However, the community of Jizzakh State Pedagogical University — with its 50-year history of courageously overcoming various trials and hardships, along with its dedicated teachers and experienced educators — is ready and able to find solutions in any complex situation and to further enhance the quality of education.

Respected compatriots!

On the eve of such glorious days, let us wish that our children grow up successful, advanced in knowledge, and exemplary in behavior. Let us be their support and guidance so that they may develop into mature specialists and make a worthy contribution to the development of New Uzbekistan and the prosperity of our country.

In conclusion, I extend to all of you my heartfelt wishes for good health, family peace, and harmony. May our homeland remain secure, and may our skies always be clear.!

Congratulations on this most sacred and cherished holiday!

Rector of Jizzakh State Pedagogical University,

  professor  Yuldashev Maqsudjon Abdullayevich.
