Meeting at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University: A Fresh Look at Education Quality, Employment, and Scientific Potential. An expanded meeting was held at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University. Chaired by University Rector Professor Maqsudjon Yuldashev, this meeting thoroughly discussed issues of improving education quality, analyzing faculty performance, ensuring student employment, and enhancing scientific potential.
At the beginning of the meeting, Rector M. Yuldashev spoke about the working visit of the head of state, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to the United States of America on November 4-6 and the meetings held within its framework. As the Rector emphasized, this visit marked the beginning of a new strategic stage in Uzbekistan-US relations. It was particularly noted that the projects being implemented within the “C5+1” cooperation format are also of great importance for higher education institutions, and Jizzakh State Pedagogical University must actively participate in this process.

Furthermore, the first item on the agenda addressed the working visit of the university delegation to Georgia State University, USA, from October 28th to November 4th. Vice-Rector for Scientific Work A. Jabborova gave a detailed report on the trip. It was noted that during this visit, agreements were reached with five universities regarding scientific cooperation, academic exchange, and joint projects.
The next topic of the meeting was dedicated to increasing the effectiveness of the educational process. The head of the Education Quality Control Department, S. Rasulov, presented a report prepared on the analysis of faculty teaching activities.
According to his report, a special working group at the university monitored 119 lecture and seminar sessions, analyzing them based on 9 (8) criteria and 24 indicators. The analysis process focused on a number of important aspects such as the methodological organization of the lesson, the teacher’s speech culture, dress code, and provision of necessary teaching materials.
Rector M. Yuldashev emphasized the need to deepen the analysis of education quality and strengthen the scientific approach to each teacher’s activities:
“This method is not for punishment, but is a system introduced to enhance the teacher’s potential and enrich their experience,” said the university head.
The issue of student employment was also discussed at the meeting. According to the prepared report on employment, 5,293 graduates completed their studies at the university in the current academic year, of whom 4,176 have secured permanent employment.
At the same time, it was reported that 417 graduates are still unemployed and specific measures have been defined regarding their future. The Rector requested a daily analysis of student employment status from each faculty:
“There must be a clear solution to the employment issue. Each dean is personally responsible for this matter. We are responsible for the future life of the graduate,” said M. Yuldashev.
Another important part of the meeting discussed the work being done to enhance scientific potential in the faculties. Presentations were heard on the implementation of tasks assigned at the 4th meeting of the Scientific Council under the Rector.
As a result, the History, Natural Sciences, and Philology faculties were recognized as having the best reports. According to the meeting’s decision, the exemplary presentations of these three faculties will be combined and presented as a model for other faculties.
Furthermore, each faculty was tasked with preparing report presentations and a brochure reflecting their activities, scientific achievements, and student life. This work will serve to enhance the university’s internal image and develop the scientific environment.
At the end of the meeting, suggestions for improving working conditions for faculty were heard.
“Creating the necessary environment for every employee to come to work in a good mood and return home in the same spirit is the duty of the leadership,” said the University Rector. “The university is ready to provide any assistance in this direction.” Clear tasks were defined based on the issues discussed at the meeting. It was emphasized once again that the main goal before the university team is to bring the quality of education, science, and upbringing to a new level, deepen international cooperation, strengthen the sense of responsibility in every teacher and student, and, most importantly, to form a healthy environment. “Let us perform the duty on our shoulders with sincerity,” said Rector Maqsudjon Yuldashev. The meeting concluded with such a call.
