Course Overview:

The General Chemistry course is designed for students of the Chemistry Bachelor’s program. It covers an introduction to chemistry, the history of the development of general chemistry and its progress in Uzbekistan, fundamental concepts and laws of chemistry, main classes of inorganic compounds, D.I. Mendeleev’s Periodic Law and the periodic system of chemical elements, atomic structure and modern theories of chemical bonding, chemical kinetics and equilibrium, the energetics of chemical processes, solutions and their properties, electrolyte solutions, oxidation-reduction reactions, and the basic theories of organic and coordination chemistry, presented in a consistent sequence. Thorough mastery of the course, alongside theoretical knowledge, serves as a practical skill during students’ pedagogical practice and in their professional work after graduation.
