Activities of the “Volunteer Club”
The Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 11, 2022 No. 169 “On measures to support volunteer activities” was published. In order to ensure the implementation of this resolution, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation adopted Order No. 129 on May 10, 2023. In order to ensure the implementation of these resolutions and orders, the Rector of JDPU issued an order “On the organization of volunteer activities at JDPU” on May 13, 2023 on the implementation of Order No. 129 of the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation dated May 10, 2023. The Charter of the “Volunteer Club” was developed and formalized by order of the Rector of JDPU.
In the 2023-2024 academic year, the “Volunteer Club” carried out a number of exemplary works, building on the experience gained in previous years and with the support of the JDPU leadership (86 Club members). They are as follows:
1. The Jizzakh region, remote villages and auls know and recognize the existence of the “Volunteer Club” at the JDPU and its goals and objectives.
2. During the academic year, various meetings and trainings were organized among the population, among young people, and with young people from educational institutions in the Forish, Zamin, Bakhmal, Gallaorol and Mirzachul districts of the Jizzakh region (7 events in total).
3. Within the framework of the Volunteer Campaign, the main attention was paid to directing young people to professions, promoting and attracting 5 important initiatives among young people, supporting entrepreneurship and attracting young people to higher education institutions.
4. A total of 5,600,000 (five million six hundred thousand) soums were received from students, volunteers and initiators accepted into the “Volunteer Club” at the JDPU gifts, educational materials, didactic tools were purchased with the money and handed over to their owners at local events.
5. Members of the “Volunteer Club” visited 7 homes of children with disabilities in our region, and 4 single-person households were assisted with yard work (firewood preparation, pruning of garden trees, earthmoving, landscaping and sanitary and hygienic conditions of the yard, etc.).
6. In 2023, JDPU volunteers participated with their projects in the “Volunteer Projects” announced by the Youth Affairs Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and four projects were funded (the total amount is 130,000,000 (one hundred and thirty million) soums).
7. During the volunteer events held during the academic year, 1,800 students, 380 young family members, 7 children with disabilities, and 410 teachers were covered.
8. Our university tutors have also joined the JDPU “Volunteer Club” and are going on trips with club members.
