An open dialogue meeting was held at the Palace of Culture of Jizzakh State Pedagogical University with the participation of students of the Faculty of Medicine and their parents. The event was attended by the university administration, representatives of the regional health department, faculty professors and teachers, and parents.
The main goal of the meeting was to strengthen effective cooperation between the university and parents, provide information on news in the educational process, current issues in the medical field, as well as discuss the issue of employment of graduates. The meeting was opened by the vice-rector of the university, Sarvar Nazarkosimov. In his speech, he noted that the participation and support of parents in the educational process has a great impact on the success of students.
Representatives of the Jizzakh regional health department spoke at the event and provided information about the healthcare reforms being implemented in the region, improving the quality of medical services, as well as practical measures to place medical graduates in employment. They noted that graduates will be directed to medical institutions in various districts and cities of the region based on need. The head of the university’s educational and methodological department also spoke and announced that work has been initiated to direct medical students to practice and prepare them in accordance with the field. He noted that students who graduate from this faculty will enter the labor market not as teachers, but as full-fledged medical specialists.
He also provided information about the procedure for students studying on the basis of a state grant. In particular, students admitted to study at the expense of the state budget are only allowed to study on a grant for the first year, and in subsequent years only students who are selected based on the criteria established by the educational institution can continue their studies on a grant. During the event, presentations were made by the faculty leadership about the educational process, practical training, infrastructure being created for students, collaborative clinics and other amenities. Parents received answers to questions of interest and expressed their opinions and suggestions.
The meeting was held in an open, sincere and constructive spirit. It was emphasized that such dialogues serve to further strengthen the trusting cooperation between the university and parents.
