Sports competitions were held at JSPU in honor of International Judo Day.

A new specialization,“Sports Activity (Judo)”,has been launched starting from the 2025–2026 academic year at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports of Jizzakh State Pedagogical University. Currently, 22 students are enrolled in this program.

A judo club is also actively operating within the faculty. Training sessions are conducted by 5 qualified instructors, of whom 3 are International Class Masters of Sport and 2 are Masters of Sport.

To mark October 28 – International Judo Day, the faculty organized sports competitions and demonstration performances by instructors and students of this sport. During the event, young athletes showcased their skills, and instructors spoke about the history and philosophy of judo, as well as its role in fostering discipline, respect, and willpower.

This event provided additional inspiration and motivation to students studying judo, promoted a healthy lifestyle, and served to strengthen friendship and solidarity among youth through sports.
