The latest session of the “Continuous Professional Development Day” seminars, held every Saturday at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University, took place at the Palace of Culture. The seminar was opened by First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Haqberdi Hamzayev.

At the seminar, Head of the University’s Educational Quality Control Department, Sardor Rasulov, first delivered a presentation on the topic “Ensuring Educational Quality Based on Analysis.” He presented to the participants the lesson analyses studied by a working group formed for the purpose of organizing high-quality and effective educational sessions.
The presentation covered the analysis of lessons by professors and teachers from a total of 31 departments. Aspects observed in the educational process were evaluated according to a number of criteria, including:

The teacher’s punctuality in entering the classroom and the culture of starting the session.

Availability of educational materials and alignment of the topic with the syllabus.
-
Pedagogical skill and communicativeness.
-
Methodological organization of the lesson.
-
Communication with students and development of social skills.
At the end of the presentation, seminar participants shared their questions and suggestions, such as conducting master classes and ensuring full provision of textbooks.




The next session was led by Professor Ravshan Ibragimovich Nurimbetov from Tashkent University of Architecture and Construction. He delivered a lecture on the topic “The Role of Professors and Teachers in Ensuring Educational Quality, Increasing the Effectiveness of Scientific Research, and Developing Innovation and Commercialization Activities in Modern Universities.”






The presenter’s presentation discussed the following topics:

Concepts of Education and Quality Issues – Transition from teaching quality to education quality.

Global Education Trends – Strategic development directions of the world’s leading universities.

Entrepreneurship and Academic Entrepreneurship in HEIs – Opportunities for developing innovative and commercial activities in universities.

The “Practitioner Professor” (PoP) Model – Providing fundamental and practical knowledge, developing professional skills, social skills, and preparation for a competitive labor market.

Research and Innovation Activity – Creating new ideas and technologies, commercializing research results (patenting, licensing, establishing small innovative companies), collaborating with businesses.

Cultural and Educational Functions – Graduate employment, lifelong acquisition of new knowledge and skills, providing students with opportunities for socialization.

University 3.0 Model – The role of modern HEI professors and teachers and the role of scientific articles in rankings.


At the end of the seminar, professors and teachers exchanged experiences on educational quality, innovative research, and the practitioner professor model, and a Q&A session was held.
