Department of School Management – Center for Educational Management, Strategic Planning and Management Innovations
The Department of School Management specializes in organizing management processes in the education system, training qualified specialists in strategic planning and education management. The curriculum includes such areas as educational management theory, school management, working with a pedagogical team, quality monitoring, innovations in the education system and project management. Students acquire the skills of making management decisions, planning and analyzing the educational process. The scientific activity of the department is aimed at developing effective management models in the education system, studying international experience and applying it in practice. Graduates successfully work as school principals, heads of departments, and coordinators of educational projects.

Organization
The Department of School Management was established in 2020 as part of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology. The department was established to manage educational institutions, introduce modern management approaches, and train qualified personnel for school leaders. The first leadership was held by Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in History, Toychi Akhmedov.
Development stages
In 2020–2022, the department formed its organizational and scientific-methodological base and launched a master’s program in the specialty “Management of Educational Institutions”. Since August 2022, the department has been headed by Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pedagogy, Diyor Tursunov. Since this period, participation in international and republican scientific conferences and the introduction of innovative management technologies in the teaching process have expanded.
Current activities
Currently, the department has 10 professors and teachers, of whom 1 is a Doctor of Science, 3 have a Candidate of Science and PhD degree, the rest are senior teachers and trainee teachers. The department has a “Young Managers” club, in which 18 talented students work. Areas of cooperation include joint projects with the Academy of Public Administration under the President, the Avloni Research Institute, and Samarkand State University. In recent years, several monographs, textbooks, and scientific articles have been published by members of the department.
