In the 2018–2019 academic year, it was separated from the Department of Theory and Practice of Primary Education and reorganized as an independent Department of “Methodology of Primary Education”. Initially, Associate Professor Fazilat Ibragimova worked as the head, and since 2019, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Gulnara Kholboyeva has continued to lead the department.
