The first leadership was held by the candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, associate professor Boymurod Sultanov in 1981-1992. Since the establishment of the department, the main goal has been to develop physics education with modern methods and train pedagogical personnel.
Stages of development
In 1992-1994, associate professor Mamajon Zokirov headed the department, and in 1994-2006, associate professor Jahongir Rasulov headed the department. From 2022 to the present, Associate Professor Sa’dulla Ubaydullayev has been heading the department. During this period, the number of specialists with scientific degrees has increased in the department, modern educational and methodological complexes have been created, and international cooperation has been established.
Current activities
Currently, 26 professors and teachers work in the department, of which 7 are candidates of science and 4 are associate professors. During the educational process, classes are held in the bachelor’s degree program “Physics and Astronomy” and the master’s degree program “Methodology of Teaching Exact and Natural Sciences (Physics and Astronomy)”. During the period 1981-2022, members of the department published 8 textbooks, 9 manuals, more than 10 monographs and about 1300 scientific articles. As part of foreign cooperation, scientific projects are being implemented with Bashkortostan State University and the Joint Center for Nuclear Research in Dubna, Russian Federation.
