Main functions and responsibilities
Job responsibilities of the Chief Power Engineer:
- Organization of uninterrupted and high-quality supply of electrical energy, as well as telephone communication, radio communication, automated calls and signaling within the established limit conditions;
- Development of measures for the economic use of electrical energy, control over the targeted distribution of electrical energy among the facilities of the university;
- Keeping records and analyzing accidents and equipment that have become unusable in the electrical energy sector;
- Monitoring compliance with the rules and instructions of the work by subordinate personnel;
- Keeping records of the university's energy consumption, preparing the university's energy balance;
- Drawing up contracts for energy consumption with external organizations;
- Timely and high-quality implementation of preventive work and repairs of electrical energy, as well as telephone communication, radio communication, automated calls and signaling systems, and monitoring their technical condition;
- Development of instructions for the operation of electrical equipment, ventilation devices, etc., and for the positions of subordinate personnel;
- Monitoring the current state of protective equipment at university facilities and services, checking their serviceability:
- Organizing preliminary and periodic inspections of the insulation of energy facilities and buildings;
- Drawing up orders for the necessary materials and equipment, keeping an account of material and technical means stored in the warehouse;
- Placing orders for design organizations for the overhaul and modernization of energy facilities and monitoring the implementation of their work;
- Submitting the necessary documents to the management to take action against violations resulting from violations of instructions and rules.
- Implementation of measures to prepare the university for the winter season;
Must know:
- Knowledge of safety, safety rules and technical regulations, electrical energy systems of university buildings and student dormitories, technical and safety regulations, decisions, orders, orders of higher organizations, methodological and regulatory documents on providing services to universities in the energy sector, organization of energy supply to production at universities, production capacities, technical specifications and operating modes of energy-using devices, and rules for their use.
Qualification requirements:
- Experience in construction, reconstruction, capital and current repairs;
- Knowledge of regulations, instructions and other regulatory documents related to the development and execution of technical documentation;
- Knowledge of the procedure for concluding contracts with other organizations for the provision of electrical energy to the university;
- Must have a higher education.
- Must know the basics of labor law, labor protection, safety equipment, industrial sanitation and fire protection rules and standards.
