Brief Description of the Program:
The Special Education (Oligophrenopedagogy) bachelor’s degree program is designed for students, providing the methods and tools for implementing moral, physical, intellectual-moral, economic, legal, and environmental education for preschool-aged children. It covers general and specialized schools; public, multidisciplinary specialized, and combined preschool education organizations; “Muruvvat” children’s homes; “Mehribonlik” homes; vocational guidance for students, diagnostic centers, institutions under the Ministry of Health, and general education state and non-state organizations. Graduates can work as special educators, defectology teachers, oligophrenopedagogy teachers, educators; as oligophrenopedagogues with Level 4 qualifications under the National Qualifications Framework (having completed secondary vocational education), regulating and monitoring the activities of oligophrenopedagogues, performing diagnostic-consultative tasks, and serving as mentors; as well as methodologists in secondary vocational education institutions, applying principles of methodological guidance in the education system. Thorough mastery of the program, alongside theoretical knowledge, equips students with skills applied during pedagogical practice and in professional activities after graduation.
