The 16th International Scientific Conference dedicated to the FLTAL (Foreign Language Teaching and Applied Linguistics) direction was held at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University, with the participation of local and foreign scholars.

The conference was opened by the university rector, who expressed gratitude for its scientific-practical significance, its role in international cooperation, and to the foreign speakers. He particularly emphasized the importance of student engagement and thorough learning of foreign languages.

The event featured the participation of Michael Houlgate, Director of the British Council in Uzbekistan, who delivered a lecture on the organization’s activities and its collaborative projects in the field of higher education.

At the conclusion of the event, university students who achieved high results in sports and academic fields were ceremonially honored. Students who succeeded in international and national competitions were recognized with letters of appreciation for their contributions to enhancing the university’s prestige and reputation.

The conference continued with a concert program prepared by the university’s artistic ensemble. National melodies, songs, and dances left a great impression on the foreign guests.

During the visit, the guests toured the university’s infrastructure, sports facilities, and laboratories, particularly praising the practical work being carried out in the In-vitro laboratory.
