At the opening ceremony, Deputy Governor of Jizzakh Region Dilmurod Khudayshukurov, Rector of JDPU Professor Maksudjan Yuldashev, and Professor Birol Merjan of Necmettin Erbakan University delivered speeches. It was noted that the conference contributes to the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Türkiye in the fields of education and science.

As part of the conference, the Rector of JDPU held meetings with heads and scholars of several Turkish higher education institutions. The meetings focused on expanding scientific and educational cooperation, implementing joint projects and identifying prospective areas of partnership.

The conference participants toured the university campus and became acquainted with its infrastructure. In particular, they visited the Invitro laboratory, classrooms, sports facilities, football fields and swimming pool, library, as well as the Museum of Remembrance of the Victims of Repression. Exhibitions organized in the Professors’ Garden were also presented to the guests.

During the plenary session and scientific sections, participants discussed topical issues including digital transformation, artificial intelligence, education, Turkic languages and literature, historical and cultural heritage, the significance of the Great Silk Road, sustainable development, ecology and international cooperation. Researchers presented the results of their studies and exchanged academic experience.

The 5th International Silk Road Conference not only provided a platform for scientific dialogue and exchange of experience, but also identified new opportunities for further expanding scientific and educational cooperation between higher education institutions of Uzbekistan and Türkiye.
