An international scientific and practical conference was held on the topic “Problems of Training Highly Qualified Pedagogical Personnel in the Context of Modernizing Geography Education.”

This conference, organized on the initiative of Jizzakh State Pedagogical University at the “Aydarkul Resort” complex in Arnasoy district, Jizzakh region, was aimed at discussing the current state of geography education, its priority directions, and the role of science in solving global environmental and socio-economic problems.

The conference was attended by representatives of scientific institutions from Uzbekistan and abroad, including geographical societies, leading universities, professors, teachers, scientists, and students.

Within the framework of the presentations, pressing directions such as geoecology, hydrology, sustainable development, climate change, and the role of artificial intelligence in education were highlighted.

Additionally, the strategic tasks of geography education and issues of regional development were widely discussed in the plenary session and 4 sectional meetings.

The conference was significant as it was organized in the area of the Aydar-Arnasoy lake system, ensuring the integration of theory and practice. At the conclusion, important proposals and recommendations were developed for the development of geography education, expanding international scientific cooperation, and training qualified pedagogical personnel.
