Issues of spiritual immunity against religious threats and the preservation of national values were discussed at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University.

A roundtable discussion was held on the topics “National Values and Their Role in the Spirituality of the Nation” and “How I Understand the Threat of Religious Extremism and Terrorism.” It was attended by regional and university leadership, representatives of law enforcement agencies, professors and teachers, and students.

Speakers at the event emphasized that national values, based on the centuries-old historical experience and spiritual heritage of our people, are a solid foundation for societal stability and development. It was noted that forming a strong spiritual immunity in the minds of youth is a priority task at a time when various ideological influences are intensifying in the context of globalization.

The true nature of religious extremism and terrorism, and the threats they pose to societal security, were also thoroughly analyzed. Experts emphasized that radical ideas are often aimed at misleading young people through misinterpretations of religious concepts, and that legal literacy, critical thinking, and reliance on reliable sources are crucial in countering such situations.

During the roundtable, which was held in the form of an open dialogue, students freely expressed their opinions and feedback. In conclusion, it was specifically noted that it is necessary to consistently continue advocacy work among young people to strengthen religious tolerance, interethnic harmony, and civic responsibility.
