A delegation of entrepreneurs and representatives from various sectors of the People’s Republic of China is currently visiting the Jizzakh region.
In this regard, a group from the delegation met today with the leadership of Jizzakh State Pedagogical University. The meeting was attended by guests including representatives from Nanjing, China—from the Nanjing Tourism Institute and Professor Xiao Fei from Soochow University.



The conversation, which took place in a friendly atmosphere, began with mutual introductions. At the meeting, Farrukh Akchayev, the First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work, informed the guests about the history of the higher education institution and the directions of its current activities.


Additionally, Anora Jabborova, the Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovations, spoke about the university’s international cooperation ties, memoranda signed with foreign universities, and joint projects being implemented.


Gayrat Kodirov, the Rector’s Advisor on Sustainable Development, outlined the main goal of the meeting. He emphasized that the negotiations focused on:
• Establishing a Chinese Language and Culture Center at the university,
• Implementing teacher and student exchange programs,
• Admitting Chinese students and organizing Russian and Uzbek language courses for them,
• Launching a Bachelor’s degree program in Chinese Language,
• Discussing the organization of a medical clinic affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine.



The Chinese guests also received these proposals with interest and expressed their readiness to establish cooperative relations in these very areas. At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to meet again to define future practical steps and strengthen cooperation, parting in a sincere atmosphere.
