The opening ceremony of the international Pencak Silat competition hosted by Jizzakh State Pedagogical University took place.
The ceremony, held at the Jizzakh Cybersport Arena, was attended by representatives of international and national delegations, more than 600 athletes, coaches, referees, and students.

Speakers at the opening ceremony emphasized that such competitions serve not only to cultivate champions, but also to strengthen mutual respect, friendship, and cultural exchange between nations.

 

“For us, hosting this competition is a great honor and responsibility. Jizzakh State Pedagogical University strives to further deepen international cooperation in the fields of pedagogy, sports and education. This event is one of the important steps in this direction. Every guest who comes to Jizzakh today is our dear friend, partner and valued guest. The team of our university has mobilized all its strength and energy to ensure that the competition is held at a high level, that all participants are received with dignity and successfully participate. I believe that all athletes will actively, honestly and with high spirits participate in this prestigious competition,” said the rector of the university, Sh. Sharipov.

Pencak Silat is not just a sport, it is a symbol of culture, education, unity and peace. The Central Asian Open Championship in the PINCAK-SILAT sport, organized in cooperation with the Jizzakh State Pedagogical University and the Uzbekistan PINCAK-SILAT Federation, started on May 16. The competitions will continue until May 19.
