The opening ceremony of the third regional stage of the “Five Initiatives Olympiad” sports competitions, held among students of higher education institutions, took place at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University.

The event was attended by the university leadership, representatives of the Jizzakh Regional Sports Department, officials of higher education institutions, and student-athletes.

The ceremony was opened by the university rector, who emphasized that such competitions are of great importance in increasing students’ interest in sports and showcasing their physical potential and talent. He wished the participants good luck and victory.

It is worth noting that the faculty and interfaculty university stages of the competitions were successfully held. In the third regional stage, selected student-athletes from 5 higher education institutions of Jizzakh region are competing.

According to the established program, competitions are being held in athletics, table tennis, mini-football, volleyball, and streetball. Mini-football matches are being held at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University, while athletics competitions are taking place at the Olympic and Paralympic Sports Training Center.

Today, the mini-football matches began. A drawing ceremony was held among the teams, and the order of matches was determined. We wish good luck and worthy results to all teams participating in the competitions!
