Within the framework of “Thursday — Leader and Youth Meeting,” an open dialogue with the rector was organized at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University with the participation of students of the Higher School of Applied Sciences Pedagogy and the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports.
At the beginning of the meeting, the deans provided information through presentations about the fields of education, the student contingent, the potential of professors and teachers, the results achieved, and future plans.
As noted, 577 students are studying in 6 fields of education at the Higher School of Applied Sciences Pedagogy, and 917 students in 5 fields of education at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports.
After that, the open dialogue began, and students expressed their proposals and initiatives regarding the educational process, creative and sports activities, meaningful organization of free time, and support for young people.
In particular, a proposal was put forward to establish a “Speech” club in order to develop students’ public speaking skills, free thinking, and public speaking abilities. A master’s student of the Technological Education field demonstrated clothing samples with drawings prepared through his own handiwork. The rector emphasized that a separate room in the university’s main building will be allocated for the development of this creative activity. Furthermore, issues were raised regarding introducing a special breast badge to recognize students’ activity and achievements, and delivering saplings for the Student Garden planned to be established on the university grounds. At the meeting, the achievements of the university’s athletes were also recognized. In particular, it was noted that the athletes were recognized at the regional level today in connection with the victories of the volleyball teams. The rector congratulated them and wished them success in future competitions. Initiatives were also expressed to send letters of appreciation to the parents of musician students who have been actively participating in university events, as well as to organize charity concerts with the participation of students and musician students for children raised in orphanages and mercy homes. During the open dialogue, views were exchanged on the proposals made, and attention was focused on identifying relevant tasks for their implementation.
