At Jizzakh State Pedagogical University, in cooperation with the regional Department of Family and Women’s Affairs, on the occasion of October 11 — International Day of the Girl Child, a “Girls’ Forum” was organized under the motto “Putting an End to Early Marriage and Investing in Girls’ Rights.”

The forum was attended by the deputy governor of the region, university leadership, women leaders working in various fields, female scholars, entrepreneurs, and more than 500 female students, including members of the “Qizlarjon” and “Leader Girls” clubs.

The event discussed issues of preventing early marriage, increasing girls’ legal literacy, and expanding opportunities for them to receive education and realize their potential. The speakers’ presentations were heard, and a dialogue was held on the opinions and suggestions of female students.

At the end of the forum, internationally recognized girls were awarded certificates of appreciation and commemorative gifts. Cultural performances were part of the event program.
