“16 Days of Activism Against Violence”
A seminar-training was held on the topic “Ensuring gender equality and combating violence.”

A seminar-training on the topic “Ensuring gender equality and combating violence” was held at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of JSPU in collaboration with the Women’s Advisory Council, the Jizzakh Regional “Qalb Nuri” Center, and the Jizzakh Regional Branch of the “Milliy Tiklanish” Party.

At the event, N. Alimova, head of the Jizzakh regional “Qalb Nuri” center, R. Yunusova, specialist of the Jizzakh regional branch of the “Milliy Tiklanish” party, and Z. Kasimova, chairwoman of the Women’s Advisory Council, gave presentations on what gender is and gender equality, and on the work and measures being taken to combat gender violence in our country, as well as the connection between gender and violence problems.

The seminar also provided information on addressing the problem of violence and gender equality in social partnerships, gender equality, and the legislative framework on gender and violence.

The seminar was full of mutual ideas and reflections, interesting questions and answers. Participants received answers to their questions. At the end of the event, the participants were given booklets with information on the topic by the specialists of the “Qalb Nuri” center.
