On the occasion of “October 1 — Teachers’ and Mentors’ Day” and “Elderly Persons’ Week,” traditional sports competitions among professors, teachers, and staff have been launched at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University.

The university rector, Professor Maksudjan Yuldashev, participated in the opening ceremony of the event and wished the participants good luck and victories.

These competitions, aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle, are being attended by elderly professors and teachers — men over 55 years of age and women employees over 50 years of age. The competitions are being held in the sports of chess and checkers, table tennis, mini-football, and volleyball.
