An event was organized on the topic of “Combating illegal trafficking of psychotropic substances”.
Today, in addition to narcotic drugs, their analogues and psychotropic substances, the world community is concerned about the widespread distribution of powerful or toxic substances that have a negative effect on the human mind and health.

Therefore, in order to fight against the illegal circulation of narcotic drugs, their analogues and psychotropic substances, to prevent the commission of drug and drug-related crimes among young people, various meetings and promotional events are being organized in our country. One of the next events was held at the Palace of Culture of JSPU.

The event was attended by media workers, professors and teachers of JSPU, students and young people, as well as representatives of IIB, health department and specialists of the center for fighting against AIDS. During the event, the students were informed about the measures taken in Uzbekistan to combat and prevent the illegal circulation of psychotropic substances, as well as strong or toxic substances that have a negative effect on the human mind and health.

Also, insights were given about the pitiable conditions of patients suffering from these diseases. It was discussed that cases of drug crimes are being observed, especially by students of higher educational institutions, school and lyceum students in order to earn easy income. The event left a great impression on the students. The students received answers to their questions from experts in the field.

At the end of the event, a play about drug addiction and its negative consequences, staged by the JSPU student theater studio, was shown.
