The birthday of the great statesman and public figure Sharof Rashidov was celebrated in Jizzakh.

Today, the birthday of Sharof Rashidov, an eminent statesman and public figure, writer, and patriotic individual of our country, was widely celebrated in Jizzakh region.

From early morning, numerous organizations, institutions, and public representatives in the region participated in a ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to Sharof Rashidov, held on the initiative of the regional administration.

Professors, teachers, and student youth from Jizzakh State Pedagogical University also actively participated in the event.

The solemn ceremony was opened by Deputy Governor of the Region Akmal Savurboyev. In his speech, he spoke about Sharof Rashidov’s life path, his profound literary work, and his invaluable services to our people.

 

During the event, a group of cultural figures, as well as people who personally knew Sharof Rashidov, shared their memories and sincere thoughts.

The ceremony concluded with the laying of floral wreaths at the base of Sharof Rashidov’s monument.
