The first stage of the “Book-loving Student” contest was held at JSPU.

The first stage of the “Book-Reading Student” contest, organized at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University to enhance reading culture among students and foster a love for literature, was held on November 5th of this year.

Nearly 300 book-reading students participated. The contest was held on the 2nd floor of the Information Resource Center — at 14:00 for 1st shift students and at 10:00 for 2nd shift students.

This project was launched on the initiative of the University Rector and serves to increase students’ interest in reading, broaden their thinking, and develop their free-thinking skills.

During the contest, students were asked questions about the books they had read, testing their analytical thinking, and their ability to comprehend and evaluate literary texts. Based on the results, the 7 students from each faculty who scored the highest points will win a pass to the next, inter-faculty stage of the contest.

Such contests held within the framework of the “Book-Reading Student” project serve to widely engage youth in reading, elevate their spiritual level, and contribute to their intellectual development.
