An international scientific conference on the theme “Higher Education in the Regions: Realities and Perspectives” is being held in Guba, Republic of Azerbaijan. The Jizzakh State Pedagogical University delegation, consisting of the Head of the Interfaculty Russian Language Department, M. Djelyalov, and International Cooperation Specialist Sh. Rashidov, is participating.
The international conference began with a flower-laying ceremony at the monument to Heydar Aliyev, the first president of the Azerbaijani people.
During the grand opening ceremony, Yusuf Aliyev, Rector of the Guba branch of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, and Saida Abbasova, First Deputy Head of the Guba Region Executive Authority, specifically highlighted the memorandum signed on the initiative of Presidents Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Ilham Aliyev during the Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan Business Forum held in Tashkent on August 23, 2024, which declared the cities of Jizzakh and Guba as sister (partner) cities.
The Guba Region Executive Authority and the university rector expressed special gratitude to JSPU Rector Maqsudjon Abdullayevich for the cooperation being carried out and for participation in the forum.
During the forum, commemorative gifts were presented on behalf of the JSPU Rector to Guba Branch Rector Yusuf Aliyev and First Deputy Head of the Guba Region Executive Authority, Saida Abbasova.
The event is proceeding in a spirit of friendship, mutual respect, and scientific cooperation.
