First of all, I sincerely congratulate all of you on October 1 — Teachers’ and Mentors’ Day!
Teachers’ and Mentors’ Day is not an ordinary holiday. It is a sacred occasion when respect and esteem are shown to teachers, and their difficult but honorable work is duly appreciated.
As our esteemed President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized:
“If a person’s mind and worldview do not change, society will not change. Only you — teachers and mentors — are capable of fulfilling such a great task, a truly historical mission.”
These words embody the great responsibility and lofty purpose of the teaching profession.
Taking this opportunity, I express my sincere gratitude to all our teachers, professors, and every member of our team who have been faithfully fulfilling the great task of educating and upbringing the younger generation.
Dear colleagues!
On such glorious days, a person naturally looks back. Reviewing the work carried out at Jizzakh State Pedagogical University over the past academic year, we can say that this period was a year of searching, renewal, hard work, and most importantly, acting as one team and transforming the university.
As a result of the construction and improvement work that began a year ago, the appearance of our university has been fundamentally renewed. Educational buildings, auditoriums, the common area, and the environment are being enriched with modern content. But in my view, the greatest change is not only in buildings or external appearance.
The greatest change has occurred in people, in relationships, in the team environment.
Today, an environment is being formed where we show kindness to one another, support each other with a “labbay” when needed, and work united around one goal and one idea for the sake of the university’s development. We are also seeing new positive approaches in teachers’ attitudes toward their profession, the lesson process, and students.
In my opinion, this is one of the greatest achievements we have attained.
At this point, I would like to briefly mention some of the results achieved through this labor.
In the past academic year, our scientific potential rose from 33 percent to 53 percent, and 14 of our students were awarded prestigious state scholarships. At international science olympiads, 7 medals were won, and the overall employment rate of graduates reached 97.7 percent.
In particular, at the Higher School of Exact Sciences Pedagogy, educational programs were updated based on German experience, and international educational programs were launched in mathematics, information systems, and artificial intelligence.
In the field of natural sciences, 4 educational programs passed the ASIIN international accreditation of Germany.
At the same time, the content of preschool and primary education is being improved together with University College London (UCL) and the University of Cambridge in the UK.
Next year, it is planned to organize a summer school of Georgia University (USA) in Jizzakh.
The university team is tirelessly striving to join the ranks of Uzbekistan’s top 10 universities and to take a worthy place among the world’s TOP-1000 universities.
In the past 2025–2026 academic year, more than 50 international scientific conferences were held at the university. They were attended by nearly 100 professors and teachers from the USA, France, Korea, India, Russia, and the UK.
In September of this year alone, 7 scientific-practical conferences were organized at the university. Nearly 50 foreign scientists and researchers from countries such as Malaysia, China, Turkey, and the UK participated in scientific discussions and conducted training sessions and open dialogues for students.
The establishment of Korean, Japanese, and Chinese language and culture centers is also expanding our university’s international opportunities.
I would especially like to highlight cooperation with the People’s Republic of China.
[30.09.2026 21:25] рухида: The elevation of the Jizzakh regional administration’s cooperation with the People’s Republic of China to a new level is creating favorable opportunities for our university as well.
Starting from the current academic year, a Chinese language field of study has been opened in the region for the first time, with 50 students admitted. 4 Chinese teachers have been attracted.
I believe that this initiative will serve in the coming years to train qualified personnel with a thorough knowledge of Chinese not only for education but also for production and other sectors in our region.
Furthermore, with the special attention and trust of the regional administration, the transfer of the “Youth Town” to our university’s administration was an important step toward further developing infrastructure.
This attention and trust are of great importance in further enriching the cultural and educational life not only of our university but of our entire city.
Dear colleagues, mentors!
The greatest result of a teacher’s work is undoubtedly seen in the achievements of their students. These achievements are manifesting not only in education and science but also on sports fields.
In particular, worthy results were also recorded in the field of sports. Our students won a total of 79 medals at international and republican competitions, worthily defending the honor of our university.
At the “New Uzbekistan Student Olympiad,” the university team took an honorable 5th place in the republic with 3 gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze medal.
And our football team became the republican champion.
You know, it’s easy to simply say “we became champions.” But when your higher education institution is declared champion among the teams of more than 200 higher education institutions, there is boundless pride and glory, a special feeling behind it.
I believe that each of you sitting in this hall today has felt this pride, this glory.
And my wish is that the university team be a champion not only in sports but also in science, in education, in upbringing, and in human relationships.
In every good deed being carried out at the university, there is the labor of all our colleagues, from professors and teachers to technical staff.
The new academic year began with special preparation, special enthusiasm, and special glory.
While our technical staff contributed to making the university grounds well-kept and even more beautiful, our teachers entered their classes with new ideas and new approaches. We felt new enthusiasm in the team, from vice-rectors to deans, department heads, and tutors.
There is hope in the eyes, a smile on the faces, and action in the work. One cannot help but notice it.
I wish for this uplifting mood, this solidarity, and this confidence to continue.
Dear teachers, esteemed colleagues!
Today, I bow to every teacher who has chosen this honorable profession and devoted their entire life to education and upbringing.
You not only teach but also raise a well-rounded generation for society. You give confidence to their dreams.
Taking this opportunity, I once again sincerely congratulate all our teachers on their professional holiday.
I wish you strong health, family peace, peace of mind, strength and energy, and creative fulfillment.
Happy holiday, dear teachers!
